This week on Swaggertown…

So, I missed last week - but it’s been crazy! Good crazy. Last week, we cooked a total blow out and you all showed up! Some of the best and most asked for dishes made an appearance - Dino Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandos, and spicy pork and beans. Coupled with the classics - brisket, turkey breast, coleslaw - we had an amazing menu and show out. I’m particularly proud of last week’s showing because we partnered up with our new and fast friends at KEY sparkling water and emptied a whole case of those delicious refreshing bevvies and we also got the pleasure to serve up and finally meet in person the one behind 518Foodies, a BIG DEAL food blogger/restaurant partner in the area.

NOW - I’ve got a little breather although I’ll admit I’m already missing the weekly rhythm and I’m excited to come back August 18th! During this “break” I’m spending some time with family and celebrating a close friend’s bachelorhood coming to an end, but I’m also doing some research and building a plan for the next phase of Swaggertown Smoke. I’m slowly starting to shed my old corporate and comfortable skin - thinking and feeling that this is the new me. I need to bare down and keep scaling this great thing that we’re building here.

In the meantime, we’ve got some great events coming up and some more pop ups that I’m excited to announce. We will be back at Stella’s because…of course…we love them. We’ve got a couple more big ones planned too. September 23rd we’ll be at Mixed Breed Brewing in Rotterdam. I remember going there with my pitty a year or two back and remember realizing that we have some dang good beer in this area. It’s an amazing brewery with a lot of potential to keep growing and become a real staple in the area. We’ll be doing a pop up there for their Oktoberfest party and can’t wait to see you all. There’s sure to be an amazing menu and a heck of a good time! We’ll keep announcing our pop up locations as they get set, so make sure to stay tuned here and on our Facebook/Instagram/TikTok.

So it’s a short blog this week because I’m still processing all of the great things we’ve accomplished so far and are aspiring to continue doing, but as always, I appreciate all of this community and I’m so proud of what we’re all creating.

Love and Barbecue,

Adam @ Swaggertown Smoke
